Burlington County Sheriff Discusses Project Lifesaver in Moorestown

The Rotary Breakfast Club made a $600 donation to the effort.

Moorestown, NJ -- The Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club recently hosted Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield, who spoke about Project Lifesaver.

The club donated $600, which will provide two bracelets for local residents selected by the Sheriff's Department, the club said.

Project Lifesaver is a rapid response program that provides aid to victims and families suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and similar disorders such as Down Syndrome and Autism.

Project Lifesaver partners with local law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations to deploy specially trained teams with the most reliable technology available to quickly locate and return wandering adults and children to their families and caregivers.

The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department has partnered with police departments in Bordentown, Burlington Township, Chesterfield, Florence, Mansfield, Mt. Laurel and Palmyra to provide quick and immediate 24/7 response throughout Burlington County, to help ensure the safe return of their loved one.

For information and to register someone for project lifesaver, contact the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department, Senior Services Unit at 609-265-5785.

Family members and loved ones may also be registered in the Persons-At-Risk Program at the same time. This is a free, confidential database available only to law enforcement and emergency first responders that provides descriptive information, a photograph and any medical conditions that may exist.

This information is used solely to help locate or identify someone who is lost.
