Caged Piglet Found Abandoned On South Jersey Street Gets New Home
Someone left the piglet in a crate with a bowl of water on the side of the road, officials said.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — An abandoned piglet will get a new home after the local Department of Public Works spotted it out on the road in a crate.
The small swine was on the side of Cox Road on Tuesday with a bowl of water, the township of Moorestown said. The Department of Public Works looked after the piglet and gave it a crunchy snack, while they took calls from potential piggy parents.
The township also posted video of the black-and-white piglet, which they identified as female, wagging her tail and sniffing at the humans around her.
