About the musicians:

John French has been “country when country wasn’t cool,” performing since age 15. He’s opened for Hank Williams Jr., backed Barbara Fairchild and Jack Greene, and even sat in with the Urban Cowboy Band at Gilley’s in Pasadena, Texas.

Nancy Merrill, John’s friend and Ventnor neighbor, toured the East Coast with Maine’s top bluegrass band. She’s shared stages with legends like Alison Krauss & Union Station, Tony Rice, Marty Stuart, and Ralph Stanley. She plays upright bass and sings.

Chris Dolhancryk, a Temple Jazz graduate, brings deep versatility from years of playing in Philly‑area bands. He and John also perform together in Dread The Dead (a Grateful Dead–Reggae mashup) and Big Fire.

John Morgan, a Berklee‑trained drummer, was a South Street staple in the ’80s with his band Café Olé, sharing bills with George Thorogood and Tommy Conwell. He and John have played together in Highway 41, The Truckin’ Company, and most recently Big Soul Chicken.

Special guest: club member Linda Gaffney on fiddle.
