Boy Critically Injured By Car In South Jersey: Police
A helicopter transported the boy to Cooper University Hospital, where police say he is in critical but stable condition as of Friday.

EVESHAM, NJ — A 7-year-old boy is recovering from surgery after being hit by a vehicle in Burlington on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
The crash happened in the 200 block of Stallion Court in Marlton around 3:20 p.m., according to a news release.
The child, a Marlton resident, was lying in the street "with serious bodily injuries" when first responders arrived, Evesham Police said. The driver who hit him was still on scene.

Evesham Police and Fire gave the boy medical aid and arranged for a medical helicopter to airlift him to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
The boy underwent surgery and is in critical, but stable condition according to police.

The nearby Frances S. Demasi Middle School was briefly on a "shelter in place" so the helicopter could land, police said.
Police have not filed any charges at this time and say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
