Congressional Candidate Richter Visits Moorestown Rotary Club
David Richter, who will challenge Rep. Andy Kim in the Nov. 3 elections, spoke about civility in politics during an appearance Wednesday.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Congressional candidate David Richter spoke about civility in politics during his recent visit to the Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club.
Richter, the Republican challenging Rep. Andy Kim (D-3) in the Nov. 3 elections, visited the club on Wednesday and spoke for over an hour, according to Moorestown Rotary Past President Scott Aschoff. Richter took questions from the group and talked about his vision for the district.
“He told us about his belief that we shouldn’t just repeal Obamacare, but we should work to reform it, and how he firmly believes that pre-existing conditions should be protected,” Aschoff said. “What really stood out to me though, was the discussion on civility within politics and how he wanted to go to Washington to bridge the gap between the two parties.”

Richter spoke about the Problem-Solvers Caucus, in which a member must bring a member of the opposing party with them to the meeting so that it always stays completely neutral between both parties.
“I found his optimism about a return to civility refreshing in a candidate,” Aschoff said.
