Cops Save Woman's Life After 78-Year-Old Husband Attempted to Kill Her: Police
Officers found the woman unconscious following an alleged physical assault.

Police in Evesham Township saved a woman’s life after her husband allegedly assaulted and nearly killed her.
John R. Teti, 78, of Barrington, was charged with second-degree criminal attempt homicide, second-degree aggravated assault and third-degree evidence tampering, Evesham Police said Wednesday afternoon.
Police found the woman lying in the front yard of a Concord Road home around 11:48 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a dead woman. She was unconscious and not breathing.

Officers immediately administered CPR and used an Automated External Defibrillator to revive her. She regained consciousness within minutes. She was then taken to a nearby hospital, and was reportedly in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
Evidence at the scene indicated she stopped breathing as a result of a physical assault.

Teti was identified as the suspect following a joint investigation by Evesham Police and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. He was arrested and charged by Barrington Police at his home in Barrington shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $350,000 bail.
