Counting Of Burlington County's Write-In Ballots Continues
The hand count continued Wednesday evening after about 20,000 ballots went out with the markings that identify the town and voting district.

The hand counting of mail-in ballots in Burlington County continued into the evening hours on Wednesday, according to the Board of Elections.
The counting had resumed Wednesday morning after workers were forced to hand count at least 20,000 mail-in ballots due to a printing error. As of 7 p.m., workers at the Board of Elections were still hand counting ballots.
Mail-in ballots were sent out with the wrong markings that identify the town and voting district. The mistake was discovered Tuesday morning, and about 70 workers were put to work counting the ballots.

After the mail-in ballots are counted, they will be sent to the county clerk to be certified, and workers can begin counting provisional ballots.
The mail-in ballots won’t make a difference in Burlington County’s totals for the Presidential race, as Democrat Hillary Clinton earned 55.02 percent of the vote compared to Republican Donald Trump’s 40.38 percent.
