County, Bridge Commission Host Business Expo At RCBC June 5

Burlington County residents will have the chance to explore public resources for starting and growing their own businesses at the event.

Burlington County residents will have the chance to explore public resources for starting and growing their own businesses during an event at Rowan College at Burlington County on Wednesday, June 5, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., officials announced.

More than a dozen resource tables will be set up in Votta Hall, and there will be eight separate lectures for entrepreneurs. State, county, and local business representatives will be on hand.

“Burlington County and the Bridge Commission offer a robust array of services to our residents. This event is a catch all, and will provide valuable information and resources to anyone from a fledgling startup firm to a large corporation located here in Burlington County,” Freeholder Felicia Hopson, liaison to Economic Development, said. “Businesses cannot grow in a vacuum, local government must help to foster growth and be agile in its response to the changing needs of businesses. Events like these ensure officials are in tune with the public’s needs. ”

“I am glad to see this event hosted at RCBC. It signifies the important relationship between our local economy and the education going on at the College,” Freeholder Director Tom Pullion said. “Government is always trying to catch up to the needs of businesses, and institutions of higher education always trying to predict what the future needs of business will be, so that students can graduate equipped with the right skillset.”
