BASS RIVER TOWNSHIP, NJ — An elderly woman died after a crash last week in Burlington County, officials said. State Police identified Rene Paradis, 79, of Chelsea, Maine, as the decedent. Troopers responded to the crash at 5:28 a.m. Wednesday on the Garden State Parkway in Bass River Township. According to the preliminary investigation, a Hyundai hit the back of Paradis's Chevrolet as both vehicles traveled north. Paradis was transported to a local hospital, where she died Friday, according to Det. Jeffrey Lebron. The crash remains under investigation.

The Rutgers Master Gardener Program of Burlington County will be giving 3 presentations on Saturday, May 9 at the opening of the Burlington County Farmers Market at the Burlington County Agricultural Center located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown NJ.
The presentations are:
9:30 am - 10:15 am - The Basic Care and Growing of Fig Trees (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee is required).
10:30 am to 11:15 am - Composting (no registration or fee).
11:30 am - 12:15 pm - The Basic Care and Growing of Hydrangeas (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee required).
All three presentations are near or at the Rutgers Demonstration plots (to the right of the Big Red Barn, next to the Community Gardens).
