Man Killed During Alleged Moorestown Home Invasion: Police
A homeowner stabbed one of two people who broke into his home early Sunday morning.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A homeowner took matters into his own hands when two people broke into his home early Sunday morning, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
Moorestown police responded to a home in the 700 block of Hartford Road for a report of a home invasion at about 12:23 a.m. Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive man in the home. He was later pronounced dead at the scene from apparent stab wounds, police said.

The resident told police two men had broken into his home, a struggled ensued and he stabbed both of them. Police didn't release the identity of the man who was killed Sunday afternoon, as his identity has not yet been officially established. An autopsy is pending.
Detectives are investigating whether a man who arrived at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro later Sunday morning with a stab wound to the leg is connected to this incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges had been filed as of Sunday afternoon. The homeowner, who was not identified, was said to be OK.
The case is being investigated by detectives from the Moorestown Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Officers from the Cinnaminson, Delran, Maple Shade and Mount Laurel police departments also responded to the call.
