Discuss Voting And Civil Rights In Moorestown Next Month

Civil Rights Attorney Gregg L. Zeff and Criminal Defense Attorney David S. Bahuriak will discuss the issues April 5.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Civil Rights Attorney Gregg L. Zeff and Criminal Defense Attorney David S. Bahuriak will discuss “Voting Rights and Civil Rights at a Crossroads” next month.

The program, presented by the Burlington County League of Women Voters, takes place on Wednesday, April 5, 7 p.m. at the Moorestown Friends Meetinghouse, 118 East Main Street in Moorestown.

Zeff began protecting the rights of prisoners and victims of police misconduct in 1988, according to his online profile. After that, he turned toward protecting the rights of police, firefighters, correctional officers and other civil servants who were victims of wrongful employment practices including racial discrimination, sexual discrimination and ethics monitoring (whistle blowing) activities.

In addition to public safety officials and civil servants, Zeff represented and continues to represent employees in all aspects of education including provosts, deans, professors, principals, teachers, students and custodians; as well as union members and executives.

Bahuriak founded the Bahuriak Law Group, which focuses on obtaining dismissals of criminal charges and claims in the early stages of a criminal case or investigation and winning cases at trial, according to the firm’s website.
