Police said Newberry surrendered to law enforcement on November 7. Officials charged him with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, first-degree vehicular homicide, and third-degree possession of a dangerous substance, according to Bradshaw and Riedener. He is in the Burlington County Jail.

Officials say they secured a warrant to access the event data recorder from Newberry's car, "which revealed that he was traveling in excess of 120 miles per hour just prior to striking Keen’s Ford SUV."
