3-Vehicle Crash Kills Woman In Burlington County: Police

The 88-year-old woman died from a head injury at the hospital, authorities said.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — An elderly woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash last week in Mount Laurel, authorities said.

The collision occurred at 12:35 p.m. Friday on Elbo Lane ad Amaryllis Boulevard, police said. Patricia Pierson, 88, died from her injuries at the hospital, according to Mount Laurel Police Cpt. Ryan Orange.

Pierson, of Mount Laurel, was treated at the scene for a nosebleed. She was then brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

"It was discovered while she was in the hospital that she sustained a head injury, which is what caused her death," Orange told Patch.

Police continue to investigate which driver caused the crash. But no criminal charges will be issued, Orange said.
