Moorestown, NJ -- It looks like New Jersey will play a larger role in this year’s primaries than it normally does.
June 7 is the final day of primary voting in the United States, and with both the Democratic and Republican primaries in the presidential race looking tight, this may be one year where every primary counts.
Locally, each party will use Primary Day to finalize their slate’s for November’s elections, as neither the Democratic or Republican Primary for Moorestown Council are contested.

Mayor Phil Garwood, Deputy Mayor Victoria Napolitano and challenger Mike Locatell filed their petitions to run in the elections by the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, April 4, in the Republican Primary.
The Democratic slate looks to consist of Councilwoman Lisa Petriello and challengers Kati Angelini and Amy Leis.
