Emergency Utility Work In Moorestown On Thursday: Police

Work will take place on Main Street after 8 a.m. on April 18.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - Part of Main Street will be closed for utility emergency work on Thursday, according to Moorestown police.

The westbound lane of Main Street will be closed between Chester and Church after 8 a.m. on April 18, police said Thursday morning. The eastbound lane will remain open. Drivers should use caution.

PSE&G will replace an underground transformer that malfunctioned overnight. Local traffic will remain open at Chester Avenue, and no traffic will be permitted westbound past Mill and High streets.

Repairs are expected to last into Thursday night. Drivers should expect delays, and are encouraged to use either New Albany Road or Route 38 as alternate routes to minimize delays.

Drivers should watch for workers in the roadway. Officers will be in the area to assist with traffic.
