Pre-revolutionary Architecture lecture

Moorestown, in its earliest days of settlement from the late 1600s through the end of the Revolutionary War in 1781, did not look at all like Moorestown today. There were few structures with much space — fields and woods — between them. The town had dirt roads and many trees. Fortunately, more than 275 years later, there are a small number of buildings from the early to late 1700s located not only in the town center but also on the outskirts of town.

All lectures and walking tours are free and open to the public. Call 856-235-6488, or visit www.perkinscenter.org to reserve your space in any or all of the lectures and tours. Lectures and tours are presented by Dr. Fred Young of Moorestown. Lectures will be held at Perkins Center, Moorestown and both walking tours will meet in front of the Moorestown Community House, 16 East Main Street.
