Evergreens Moorestown Hosts Wedding For Residents
They called it "fate" that they met at the continuing care retirement community.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Paul Levesque and Valerie Schwing called it “fate” that led to the two singles becoming friends at The Evergreens in Moorestown. After several chance encounters at the continuing care retirement community, the two residents became close friends. When they decided to marry, residents and staff recently helped them plan a beautiful ceremony to take place at The Evergreens.
They were married in The Evergreens Chapel by The Reverend Martin B. Lavengood, Chaplain of the community, in the presence of family, friends, residents and staff of The Evergreens.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds invited all residents and guests to the Main Dining Room for a formal brunch prepared by Certified Executive Chef Robert Rifkin and his culinary team. Guests were also treated to a champagne and wine toast and wedding cake. This was followed by a reception in the Great Hall, with a jazz duo providing live music.

“It was so special for us to celebrate with our family and friends, and with all our ‘extended family’ at The Evergreens too,” Schwing said. “Everything came together so perfectly, and all our guests were so impressed that we had such a beautiful wedding venue – and we just so happen to live there.”
Matthews Hall was formerly the home of E.R. Fenimore Johnson, an executive of the Victor Talking Machine Company. Now the Mansion is the centerpiece of The Evergreens’ 32-acre wooded campus.
