Farmers Market Vouchers Available For Senior Citizens In BurlCo

​Burlington County residents ages 60 and older may be eligible to receive vouchers worth $25 to purchase locally grown food.

Burlington County residents ages 60 and older may be eligible to receive vouchers worth $25 to purchase locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs, county officials announced on Monday.

“We are excited to offer this program in conjunction with our state and federal partners,” Freeholder Felicia Hopson, liaison to the Burlington County Human Services, said. “The program expands access to locally grown products for our senior citizens. The vouchers are distributed until September 30, 2019, and can be redeemed until November 30, 2019.”

To be eligible, single residents can make no more than $23,107 a year, or $1,926 a month. Married couples can make no more than $31,284 a year or $2,607 a month. Proof of Burlington County residency, age and income are required.
