Few Appointments Left For Burlington Co. COVID-19 Kids' Vaccine Clinic
There are other places in Burlington County where the vaccine is available for children, a county spokesperson said.
WESTAMPTON, NJ — Few appointments remained available Monday morning for the Burlington County Health Department's COVID-19 vaccination clinics being held later this week in Westampton for children aged 5 years and younger, according to the website where appointments can be booked.
The CDC recommended the COVID-19 vaccine in children of these ages on June 19.
The Burlington County Health Department plans to hold additional COVID-19 vaccine clinics in children of aged 5 years and younger in the future, David Levinsky, Burlington County spokesperson, told Patch.

"Getting these first clinics up and running as soon as possible was a priority because we knew that there are a lot of parents who want their youngest children protected from the most severe outcomes associated with COVID-19," he said.
"Moving forward we expect to hold additional clinics regularly at the Health Department so the vaccine is available to everyone," Levinsky continued.

Until those additional clinics can be scheduled, the Burlington County COVID-19 Vaccine mega-site on Nixon Drive in Mount Laurel is now offering vaccinations for young children, he said.
"That [site] will be a tremendous help in getting our youngest residents vaccinated and protected," Levinsky said in the interview.
