Former Moorestown Lacrosse Coach Bob Cristella Passes Away
Bob Cristella coached the boys lacrosse team when Moorestown was the only school with a team in South Jersey.

One of the men at the forefront of bringing high school lacrosse to South Jersey has died.
Bob Cristella, who coached boys lacrosse at Moorestown when it was the only school in South Jersey that had the sport, died unexpectedly over the weekend, the Burlington County Times reports. Current Cinnaminson head coach Craig Angelini played for Cristella at Moorestown.
He also helped start the program at Moorestown Friends School and Delran. He was also the swim coach at Delran.

Under Cristella, Delran’s boys lacrosse team was 14-5 and qualified for the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 1 Tournament, according to nj.com.
“A Delran resident, and District Coach for many years, Mr. Cristella impacted scores of residents throughout the years by way of his involvement in the Riverdel Swim Club,” Superintendent Brian Brotschul said in a statement posted on courierpostonline.com. “This, is without a doubt, a shocking and severe loss to the entire Delran community."
