Former Moorestown Mayor Michael Sanyour Passes Away At 86
Former Moorestown Mayor Michael L. Sanyour, Jr., of Moorestown, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. He was 86.

MOORESTOWN, NJ â Former Moorestown Mayor Michael L. Sanyour, Jr., of Moorestown, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. He was 86.
Sanyour was appointed to the Moorestown Town Council in April of 1988. He was re-elected four times, in 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000, ending his service in December of 2004. He served as Mayor from January of 2003 until December of 2004.
"The Moorestown Republican Club sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Moorestown Mayor Michael Sanyour," the club said in a statement Wednesday morning.

He was the husband of the late Therese (McCarthy); father of Jeff Sanyour, Mark Sanyour, Jennifer Sanyour, Florence Zelinka, Norman Sanyour, and Ned Sanyour. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 3, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown. Interment will be held privately.
