General Election Showdowns Set In Moorestown: What To Expect For November
Moorestown residents will have important choices to make at the local, county and state levels of government.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Although Tuesday's races featured relatively uneventful primaries for Moorestown, the stage has been set for November's general election.
Moorestown residents will head back to the polls Nov. 7, with local, county and State Legislature races at stake.
Only 8.9 percent of Burlington County's eligible voting population (31,530 of 355,848 registered voters) cast a ballot in Tuesday's primary elections, according to the county's tally as of 3 p.m. Wednesday. But many residents, including Moorestown's, didn't have contested primaries on their ballots. (View the unofficial results below.)

Nov. 7's general election, however, will give Moorestown a voice in several key races, including the Moorestown Board of Education, the Board of Burlington County Commissioners, and the 7th Legislative District's State Senate and Assembly officeholders.
All of New Jersey's State Senate and Assembly seats are also on the ballot this fall. In the 7th district which includes Moorestown, the Democratic incumbents — State Sen. Troy Singleton and Assembly Members Herbert C. Conaway Jr. and Carol Murphy — will face the Republican ticket of Senate candidate James A. Fazzone and Assembly hopefuls Douglas F. Dillon and Eileen Bleistene.

The Moorestown school board will have three of its nine seats up for election this November. But the field won't take shape until this summer, since school-board candidates around New Jersey have until July 31 to file petitions to get on the ballot. (School-board membership in the state is nonpartisan, so the elections don't have primaries.)
The school board seats that will appear on the ballot currently belong to Board Members Brooke Mailhiot, Lauren Romano and Maurice Weeks.
Here are the vote tallies as of noon Wednesday for the uncontested primaries that impacted Moorestown:
