Here's Why Curaleaf In Burlington Co. Isn't Selling Recreational Pot
12 other stores throughout New Jersey that were given the 'OK' to begin selling recreational pot did so as planned on April 21.
EDGEWATER PARK, NJ — Nearly 2 weeks after stores in New Jersey began selling recreational marijuana, customers of The Curaleaf Store in Edgewater Park still cannot buy recreational pot.
Curaleaf is the reason for the delay, not the township, according to Edgewater Park Mayor William Belgard.
The company "agreed to perform certain renovations to the property, such as a new parking lot," Belgard told Patch.

"When the work is completed we will issue the licensing," he added.
The agreement to these renovations was "binding," and thus Curaleaf is obliged to make them, according to Belgard.

Curaleaf did not respond to Patch's request for comment prior to this story's posting, but nj.com reported that a company representative told it that recreational sales should begin "soon."
