Heroin Possession, Car Burglaries Highlight Moorestown Police Report

Moorestown Police release their weekly activity report.

The following information was provided by Moorestown Police:

Jerome Young, 46, of Moorestown, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS heroin on March 6. Police say they found him in possession of the narcotic after they stopped him for riding a bicycle with no lights attached to it. He was released on a summons for this charge but remanded to jail on an outstanding warrant out of the Moorestown Municipal Court.

A resident of Pheasant Fields Lane reported a burglary to their home while they were out of town between March 1 and March 7. Assorted jewelry worth about $100,000 was reportedly stolen during the burglary. There were no signs of force.

Three overnight burglaries were reported to cars in Moorestown overnight March 7 into March 8. A resident on Garwood Road reported that between $60 and $70 in change, jumper cables, a DVD remote and a phone jack and cord were stolen from their car. A resident on Bentley Court reported two vehicles had been entered, and $25 in change was taken.

Jaclyn Rubba, 32, of Somerdale, was arrested and charged with shoplifting on March 8. Police say Rubba stole $181.93 in merchandise from Marshalls Department Store on Route 38. She was released on a summons.
