Household Hazardous Waste Collection in Moorestown Next Month

Lockheed Martin will host a household hazardous waste and e-waste collection drive

Moorestown, NJ -- Lockheed Martin will host a household hazardous waste and e-waste collection drive on Saturday, Sept. 10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 199 Borton Landing Road.

The event is free for Moorestown residents and Lockheed Martin employees, and will take place rain or shine.

Acceptable household hazardous wastes include:
  • Adhesives
  • Anti-freeze
  • Automotive batteries
  • Oil or solvent-based paints
  • Thinners
  • Lacquers
  • Stains
  • Mineral spirits
  • Aerosol cans
  • Household batteries (excluding alkaline)
  • Household cleaners
  • Mercury-containing items
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Photographic chemicals
  • Roofing tars and asphalt driveway coatings
  • Swimming pool chemicals
  • Motor oil and transmission fluid
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
Unacceptable household hazardous wastes include:
  • Ammunition and weapons
  • Alkaline batteries
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • Biological wastes
  • Carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke detectors
  • Latex paints
  • Needles and syringes
  • Propane tanks
  • Radioactive materials
  • Roof shingles
  • Tires
  • Unknown materials
  • Wastes from business/commercial activities, and anything so deemed by Company attendants

The drive is in Parking Lot A, between Buildings 137 and 152.

Enter/Exit the Lockheed Martin campus at Borton Landing Road Security Gate #1, present ID to Security, turn right after Security booth and follow the signs. There will be a sign-in sheet.
