Kooky Dinner Theater Nov. 22 to Benefit RV Educational Foundation
Dinner Catered by Christopher's of Mt. Holly, followed by student production of "The Addams Family"
Mount Holly, N.J. – Have a kooky night out Friday, Nov. 22 with dinner, followed by the student production of “The Addams Family” at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. The evening benefits the Rancocas Valley Educational Foundation, which was re-established as part of the district’s Vision 2020 Strategic Plan.
Playgoers on Nov. 22 can enjoy dinner catered by Christopher’s of Mount Holly at 5 p.m. in the RVRHS Cafeteria, followed by reserved seating in the Performing Arts Center for the 7 p.m. show. The cost for this dinner and theater combo is $50 per ticket, with proceeds supporting the Rancocas Valley Educational Foundation. The Foundation helps sustain and enhance educational opportunities that empower all students and the extended RVRHS community. It is a 501(c)3 organization, so donations are tax deductible as applicable by law.
Billed as a “creepy, kooky and spooky” evening, the dinner theater fundraiser borrows its theme from “The Addams Family” musical. The show is described as a “comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family.” The original story follows the antics of Wednesday Addams, the “ultimate princess of darkness,” who has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. Wednesday begs her father, Gomez, not to tell her mother, and then hilarity ensues as he tries to keep it a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. The show hits a dramatic pique when the Addams family hosts a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his parents.
