Lacrosse Fundraiser Raises $1,500 for Cancer Foundation
The Moorestown girls' lacrosse team's charity car wash benefited the Go4theGoal Pediatric Cancer Foundation this year.

While washing cars and having fun, the girls’ lacrosse team held their annual car wash for a local charity on May 6. This year, these enterprising young women raised over $1,500 for the Go4theGoal Pediatric Cancer Foundation, surpassing their goal by more than $500.
On May 11, the team held a ceremony on the lacrosse field where they presented the Go4theGoal Foundation with an enormous check.
“We are so impressed that these girls took the initiative to become involved with Go4theGoal to help kids with cancer in their community,” said Randy Pickus, of the Go4theGoal Foundation, who attended the check presentation ceremony. “The money they raised will help G4G continue to support its pediatric cancer programs at Cooper University Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.”
Head coach Deanna Knobloch said, “I am extremely proud of how the girls came together to raise money for such an incredible foundation. Like those in the past, this car wash gave the girls the opportunity to realize how fortunate they are. They took pride in selling tickets, washing cars and just being able to do something some kids may never get the chance to do. Lacrosse is a huge part of their lives, but they know it is not everything.”
Along with her assistant coaches, KC Knobloch and Courtney Legath, Knobloch has . and well on their way back to the state championship game in June.
