MOORESTOWN, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Moorestown, including the closure of schools and many businesses.
Burlington County is accepting PPE donations from residents and businesses to help combat the outbreak of new coronavirus. Donations are accepted seven days a week at 60 Academy Drive in Westampton, NJ, 08060.
As of Wednesday morning, there were 299 cases of new coronavirus in Burlington County, including 20 in Moorestown. There are seven fatalities in the county altogether. Three of the Moorestown residents have been cleared from quarantine.

There are more than 25,000 cases in New Jersey as of Thursday, and 537 people have died as a result of COVID-19.

SCHOOLS
All schools in New Jersey remain closed in response to the new coronavirus outbreak, state officials said. MORE.
Federal social distancing restrictions remain at least until April 30, and the state is expected to provide additional guidance by April 17. Students in the Moorestown Public School District should be prepared for at least another two weeks of remote learning, Superintendent of Schools Scott McCartney said in a letter to parents on Wednesday.
Moorestown Friends School has replaced its Open Houses with virtual meeting events. A Virtual Meet the Parents event takes place April9, followed by a Virtual Open House on April 15 and Virtual Meet the Students events on April 18. Times are listed on the school’s website.
ONLINE CLASSES
Moorestown schools aren’t the only ones that have engaged in remote learning to prevent the spread of the virus. Beginning this week, Moorestown Theater Company is offering classes in acting, dance, music, puppetry and Shakespeare.
