Letter To The Editor: Republican Candidates Care About Special Needs Families In Moorestown

To the Editor:

This year, Moorestown is lucky to have the chance to vote for a wonderful team of individuals in Mike Locatell, Victoria Napolitano, and Phil Garwood.

Mike, Victoria, and Phil understand families like mine. They know that we need our elected officials to work hard for us, to keep our taxes as low as possible, and to look out for our kids in town.

It’s also important that we elect people who “get it” when it comes to our town’s kids with special needs. I’ve seen firsthand that Mike, Victoria, and Phil do. Victoria is an Ambassador with Autism NJ, and she and Phil Garwood have supported programs for children with special needs and their families.

I have witnessed firsthand that they do not only attend these events during election years.

Instead, they attend functions supporting our special needs individuals all year, every year - from Everybody Wins Indoor Field Days with MooreKids, to the Annual Special Needs Holiday Party, to visits to Kingsway Learning Center - they are truly a part of "our family."

During Victoria and Phil's time in office, Moorestown started to hold Special Needs Provider Fairs, connecting our town’s special needs community with providers without having to leave town.

It also started an optional registry for at-risk individuals with our police so those who go missing are quickly and safely returned home.

Also, our town has partnered with special needs classes at places like Bancroft to help students with special needs gain valuable life skills right here in Moorestown. I am thankful that Mike, Victoria, and Phil have pledged continued support of these programs during the next four years.

They are people who can be trusted, who care deeply for this town and its people, and who will always put the residents first. When you vote, please join me and cast your ballots for Mike Locatell, Victoria Napolitano, and Phil Garwood on November 8th.
