Lifelong Moorestown Chemist Passes At 90
Ray Eugene Kuhn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, with Sue, his wife of 52 years, by his side.

Ray Eugene Kuhn, 90, of Lumberton Leas formerly Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, with Sue, his wife of 52 years, by his side.
Ray grew up in York, Pennsylvania. The first of his family to attend college, Ray graduated from Maryville College in Tennessee in 1952 with a degree in Chemistry. He remained a lifelong member of the American Chemical Society, and like all chemists, loved to cook.
His first job was at Union Carbide and Carbon, where he worked for nine years, with the exception of 1954-56, when he was asked to serve his country in the Army during the Korean War. Ray subsequently ran the quality control lab at Hoeganaes Corporation for 23 years, and later at Bachem Bioscience for 15 years.

A music lover to the core, Ray loved to dance and sang in groups throughout his life, including local choirs, church choirs, and Singing City Choir in Philadelphia. Ray was a lifelong Lutheran, and his faith and church were an essential part of his life.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sue, daughters, Heather MacDonald and Alyssa McCoy, and three grandchildren Cynthia, Katharyn and Griffin.

Friends and loved ones are invited to attend his memorial service on Monday, August 20, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 318 Chester Avenue, in Moorestown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church's Memorial Fund, 318 Chester Avenue, Moorestown, NJ, 08057.
