Longtime Moorestown Resident Was Daughter Of American Revolution

Joan B. Macfarlane was born in Camden, NJ, to Ivor and Claire Macfarlane. Joan grew up in a loving family with her brothers Robert and Gordon and a large extended family that included 20 first cousins. She died on June 29, 2020, at the age of 69.

Joan was a long time resident of Moorestown and graduated from Moorestown High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Glassboro State College and attended Moore College of Art. She later moved to Maryland to be closer to family.

Joan was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and the Colonial Dames as well as the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown. She is survived by her brothers, Robert and Gordon Macfarlane as well as her sister-in-law Eileen, her nephew, Rob, and her nieces Lisa and Amy.

Due to the present circumstances, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. A private burial will take place in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Moorestown, NJ.
