Longtime Moorestown Teacher Passes At 88

Sarah Buchanan (nee Smith), of Williamstown, formerly of Maple Shade and Moorestown, passed away on Aug. 8, 2018, at the age of 88. Sarah was born and raised in Moorestown, graduating from Moorestown High in 1947.

She worked in the Roberts School in Moorestown for many years as a teacher’s aide. Sarah was a longtime member of the First United Methodist church of Moorestown, Member of the Moorestown Chapter A.A.R.P and the Moorestown Women’s Club.

Wife of the late Donald. Mother of Sandra Lee Dae, Sueanne Krout, Donna A. Thomas and the late Donald Jr. Grandmother of John Colbert (Cyndy), Charles Colbert (Lindsay), Brian Krout (Suzi), Amie Matthews (Christian). Great Grandmother of Courtney Colbert, Aubrey Colbert, Caleb Krout and Sophia Krout.

Funeral service is Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 East Main Street, Moorestown, NJ. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment at Bethel Memorial Park.
