Man Charged With Arson After Multiple Homes Set On Fire In Burlington County: Police
A home was destroyed in 1 of the 2 incidents under investigation, authorities said.
EVESHAM, NJ — A man faces multiple arson charges after multiple homes caught fire in Evesham, including one that was destroyed, authorities said.
Colin J. DeLuca, 30, of Little Egg Harbor, was charged Wednesday with two counts of second-degree aggravated arson.
The first incident occurred Sunday on the 100 block of Aspen Court, where a home was fully engulfed, police said. The Evesham Fire Department extinguished the blaze, but the home was deemed a complete loss. Neighboring homes also sustained damage.

Another residential fire broke out nearby on Monday, on the 100 block of Empress Street. The homeowner extinguished the flames before first responders arrived, and the damage was minor.
These incidents are unrelated to the fatal fire from early Thursday morning in Burlington Township.

Preliminary investigations into the Evesham incidents found the fires suspicious in nature. Early Wednesday morning, officers found DeLuca in the vicinity of the incidents and detained him.
Authorities found probable cause to charge DeLuca with the Aspen Court fire. Police continue to investigate the Aspen Court incident and expect additional charges.
