Man Who Carjacked 2 Uber Drivers In BurlCo Sent To Prison: Authorities

The incidents occurred on the same day last spring, officials said.

MAPLE SHADE, NJ — A man was sent to prison for carjacking two different Uber drivers in Burlington County, officials said Wednesday.

Michael DiSantis, of Maple Shade, was sentenced to 15 years behind bars. He must serve 85 percent of the term before he can qualify for parole. He was sentenced last month.

Both incidents occurred on the same day last spring, officials said. Just before 1 a.m. May 24, an Uber driver told police that he was carjacked by a passenger in Philadelphia, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

Hours later, another driver reported a carjacking, authorities said. DiSantis, 21, was identified as the suspect in both incidents.

The Maple Shade resident pleaded guilty in November to two counts of carjacking (first-degree) and one count of eluding (third-degree).
