MOORESTOWN, NJ — Welcome to the May 23 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight events coming up during the week in Moorestown.
This edition of the manual contains a chance to understand the meaning of an upcoming holiday.
On Monday, Moorestown Township Council meets at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Complex. This meeting is also being held virtually; for more details on how to attend this meeting using the latter option, visit the township's website at www.moorestown.nj.us.

On Wednesday, the Friends of the Moorestown Library hosts a discussion by Jane Peters Estes. Her discussion, which starts at 2 p.m. in the library, centers on the origins of Memorial Day and its connection to the Civil War. Preregistration is required.
Also on Wednesday, but starting at 6:30 p.m., Moorestown High School's Madrigals Festival begins.
