MIA Donates $5,000 To Moorestown Community House
The donation is to help the community house in its continued restoration efforts.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Improvement Association (MIA) is contributing $5,000 to the Moorestown Community House to support the continued restoration efforts for this historic township treasure, MIA announced during its membership meeting on March 15. At the meeting, MIA President Dave Schill presented the donation to Community House Restoration Committee Co-Chair Will Merriken and Community House Executive Director Caryn Lynch.
The Moorestown Community House was damaged by a fire in November of 2015. No one was injured in the fire, and it could've been a whole lot worse if not for the actions of a Good Samaritan who contacted first responders after he saw smoke coming out of the roof of the east wing while he was driving by.
It isn’t the first time MIA has financially supported renovation and restoration efforts for the Moorestown Community House. Under Schill’s leadership, MIA’s “Windows on Main Street” project in the spring of 2010 turned out to be a highly successful fundraising initiative for the Community House.
