Moorestown Alum, Football Hall of Famer David Robinson to Speak at Local NAACP Event

He will speak at the NACCP's Greater Delaware Valley Chapter's Freedom Fund Banquet Sept. 27, the Burlington County Times reports.

Moorestown High School alum and NFL Hall of Famer David Robinson will be the guest speaker at the NACCP’s Greater Delaware Valley Chapter’s Freedom Fund Banquet Sept. 27, noon-4 p.m., the Burlington County Times reports.

The banquet will be held at The Merion in Cinnaminson.

The event recognizes people “who have gone above and beyond in their duties to their communities,” according to the report.

Robinson graduated from Moorestown High School in 1959. He played four sports.

He played football at Penn State from 1960-62, and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.

He was an All-Pro linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, where he was part of three NFL championship teams and two Super Bowl winners. He joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame last year.
