Moorestown Charlotte Russe Store Will Close: Report

The store will close at a Moorestown Mall that is undergoing a "reimagination."

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Clearly, America's retail apocalypse is far from over: The trendy teen and women's clothing company Charlotte Russe announced this past Sunday, Feb. 3 that they are filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and closing 94 of their stores across the country.

The company’s store at the Moorestown Mall is on that list, USA Today reports. The Moorestown Mall is undergoing what parent company PREIT has termed a “reimagination,” as more retail stores have been leaving the mall in favor of restaurants. Charlotte Russe operates approximately 500 stores across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The company will be closing 94 of them as they enter bankruptcy proceedings, the company announced in a press release this week. Three of those stores are in New Jersey. According to USA Today, the three New Jersey stores that will close are:

Atlantic City: 122 Christopher Columbus Blvd.

Moorestown: 400 Route 38

However, if a buyer cannot be found by Feb. 17, the company will completely liquidate, closing all 500 stores, according to USA Today. Charlotte Russe also owns and operates 10 Peek stores across the U.S., a children's clothing store.
