Moorestown Community Band's 25th Anniversary Concert Set for April 8

The concert will be at the William A. Allen Middle School.

Moorestown, NJ -- The Moorestown Community Band, L. Bruce Smith, Conductor, will present its 25th Anniversary Spring Concert on Friday, April 8, 7:30 p.m. in the William Allen Middle School Auditorium, 801 North Stanwick Road.

The free concert welcomes all music lovers who enjoy good music, tapping their feet, and listening to a variety of music being played by a top notch band.

The Concert Band will play classics by Dvorak, Vaughan Williams, and Ravel's Bolero, as well as patriotic songs, and popular songs by Henry Mancini.

Medleys of the music of Louis Armstrong and the musicals Les Miserables and The Sound of Music are also included in the program.

The Moorestown Jazz Band will play two songs: Fly Me To The Moon and The Shadow of Your Smile.

There will also be a reception including light refreshments following the concert. The band will accept donations to help it provide new music for the public.
