Moorestown Council Discusses Next Step After Old Library Demoltion
Mayor Phil Garwood would like to see more parking spaces, while other council members proposed other ideas.
Moorestown, NJ -- With the old library demolished and the cleanup under way, Moorestown Council engaged in a discussion of what to do with the area on Monday night, the Burlington County Times reports.
Mayor Phil Garwood said he would like to see more parking spots, as the area is located near town hall, the new library and the recreation center. Eight spots have already been reserved for parking, but Garwood would like to see more, according to the report.
Councilman Manuel Delgado said he’d like to see an additional amenity in which residents can sit outside and “read a book or do a puzzle,” similar to libraries in other towns, according to the report. Councilwoman Stacey Jordan said it might be a good idea to put park benches in there.
