Moorestown Council To Hold 1st In-Person Meeting Since March
Moorestown Council will meet in-person. Residents can also participate via teleconference.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — For the first time since March, Moorestown Council will hold an in-person meeting Monday night. There will still also be an option to call-in and view the meeting online.
Moorestown Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday night at town hall, 111 West Second Street. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m., and there will be a limit of 12 seats available for members of the public, on a first-come first-served basis.
All attendees will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. All other members of the public can attend and participate in the meeting by teleconference just the same as if present in-person.

The Mayor will open the floor for public participation to those both in person and on the conference call in accordance with normal protocol.
To join the teleconference, dial 1 201-523-5900 and then enter Conference ID: 913 657 839 followed by the # sign. The meeting will also be broadcast via live stream on the internet.

Please note that the livestream is not interactive, and you will not be able to participate in the meeting in this format. The live stream may be accessed by going to www.moorestown.nj.us/129/Agendas-Minutes.
Once the meeting begins, you will see a video camera icon in the column labeled “Media” next to the meeting date. You can click on the video camera to view the live stream. Note that you will not see the video camera icon until the live stream begins.
Meetings have been held via teleconference with online video since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March. This will be the township’s first hybrid meeting as the state reopens amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Council will consider a proposed ordinance on second reading to authorize restaurants within the township to expand their footprint for outdoor dining amid the coronavirus pandemic. Council previously passed a resolution allowing for the same, but the township feels that passing an ordinance is the best approach. Council will also consider a proposed ordinance on introduction to create a business park in place of the existing SRI Zoning District on the western portion of the township. There are also 12 items on the consent agenda. To view the full agenda, visit the township’s website.
