Moorestown Education Foundation Raises $42K From Golf Outing

Thanks to generous sponsors and high turnout, the Moorestown Education Foundation (MEF) was able to raise more than $42,000 from its annual golf outing at Laurel Creek Country Club earlier this week.

Joanne D'Angelo, one of the event organizers, said the MEF was very pleased with the result of the tournament, which exceeded last year's haul by roughly $7,000. 

The money raised from the event is used to fund education initiatives within the Moorestown School District, including iPad carts, scholarships for graduating seniors and other programs.

The MEF has raised more than $500,000 over the last 17 years since the golf outing was established.
