Moorestown Falls in Cal Ripken State Title Game
Moorestown fell to Marlton, 5-1, in the final, according to the Burlington County Times.
The Moorestown 11-year-old baseball team battled its way back from the loser's bracket, but ultimately fell in the Cal Ripken 11-year-old 50/70 state tournament, the Burlington County Times reports.
Moorestown fell into the loser's bracket following a loss to Marlton on Friday. On Sunday, it was Marlton who claimed the state title with a 5-1 win the title game, according to the report.
In between, Moorestown defeated Washington Township, 6-3, in the loser's bracket final.
