Moorestown Friends School to Celebrate Thanksgiving by Giving

Students will be creating gifts and learning how many meals for the needy they collected during this year's Food Drive.

Moorestown Friends School students from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 will join faculty and staff for a special all-school tradition in celebration of Thanksgiving on Wednesday, 9:45 a.m.-11 a.m.

More than 40 mixed-age groups of students, faculty, and staff will work together to create gifts such as wreaths, tissue paper flowers, paper bag turkeys, and more. Groups also create murals that are collectively displayed as part of the concluding festivities.

All crafts and murals are delivered to South Jersey nursing homes and continuing care facilities by faculty, staff, and parent volunteers. The day concludes with a song led by the music teachers, an interfaith prayer, a Thanksgiving story, and Meeting for Worship.
