Moorestown Friends School Students Inducted Into National Honor Society

Moorestown, NJ -- A total of 13 Moorestown Friends School students were inducted into world language honor societies at a dinner and ceremony at the school on May 18.

The following students were inducted into the National Chinese Honor Society:  juniors Alexander Barrett, Nicolas Boller, Medina Shah, Hannah Thomson,and Nicholas Tursi.

The National Chinese Honor Society was established in November 1993 to recognize those accomplished high school students who study Chinese as a world language. The National Chinese Honor Society is a scholastic organization that promotes and recognizes students with good citizenship, leadership, and deeds of community service.

The following students were inducted into the National French Honor Society: juniors Kirstin McKeown and Katherine Repholz.

The National French Honor Society aims to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, to create enthusiasm for and an understanding of francophone culture, to promote and perpetuate international friendship, and to reward efforts toward furthering solidarity in the French-speaking world. The Moorestown Friends School chapter of the honor society has been in existence since 1989.

The following students were inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society: juniors Jessica Ferber, Alexander Horn, Andrea Kinzler, Isaac Muñoz, Kelcie Satterthwaite, and Natalie Zakroff.

The National Spanish Honor Society is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and Portuguese and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. The Moorestown Friends School chapter of the honor society has been in existence since 1989.
