The day concludes with a song led by the music teachers, an interfaith prayer, a Thanksgiving story, and Meeting for Worship.
Students will also learn how many complete dinners they collected as part of the school’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Last year, Moorestown Friends School families and students contributed, packed and delivered over 160 holiday meals, including all of the ingredients for a feast, along with money collected for turkey purchases, to New Visions Community Center in Camden. New Visions then delivered them to local families in need.
Each reusable shopping bag, collected and packed by the students, includes cans of vegetables, cans of gravy, mashed or sweet potatoes, stuffing mix, muffin or biscuit mix, pumpkin pie mix or fruit pie filling, evaporated milk, and pie crust mix.
