Moorestown Friends Wins Regional Consumer Bowl; Heads to State Competition
A team of four won the regional competition last week.

Moorestown, NJ -- The Moorestown Friends School Consumer Bowl team took first place at the Southern Regional competition at Pemberton High School last week.
A team consisting of juniors Alex Barrett,, John Barton, Alex Horn, and senior Josh Murdy defeated teams from Cedar Creek (Atlantic County), Gloucester City (Camden County), Ocean City (Cape May County), and West Deptford (Gloucester County) on Thursday, April 21.
The team, coached by Science and Engineering Department Chair Dr. Barb Kreider, will now compete in the state competition in Trenton on May 27.

The New Jersey High School Consumer Bowl is a quiz-show style competition in which students test their knowledge on consumer affairs. The competitors are asked a host of questions on issues affecting buyers of goods and services, such as Ponzi schemes, investment fraud, and insurance policies. The competition is sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
