Moorestown Hardware Donating Portion of Small Business Saturday Sales to Community House Restoration
The Community House was damaged in a fire on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Moorestown Hardware is helping with the restoration of the Moorestown Community House on Small Business Saturday.
The store is donating 10 percent of its sales on Saturday, Nov. 28, to the Community House Restoration Fund.
A fire broke out in the attic of the Community House on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The fire wrecked some of the House, but there was no serious damage done to the ballroom and garden room.

Parts of the House reopened last week, and the Christmas Tree Lighting will go on as planned on Dec. 7.
The Community House first opened its doors on April 11, 1926, according to the community house’s official website.

It came to be known as the home of the community, housing over 70 civic organizations and hosting a range of social events, including meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, showers, wedding receptions and other special events.
