Moorestown High School Basketball Teams Start Season With Victories
The girls are 1-1, while the boys opened the season with a win over Nottingham.

The Moorestown High School girls basketball team is off to a 1-1 start during the young winter sports season.
Moorestown opened the season with a 45-34 win over Delran on Friday, behind 10 points from Caroline Muccifori, according to nj.com.
Moorestown led by one point after the first quarter, but started to pull away with an 11-0 second quarter, and had a 40-22 lead after three quarters.

The following day, it fell to Holy Cross, 37-25, according to nj.com. Muccifori had a game-high 11 points. Mary Kiefner and Morgan Morocco each led Holy Cross with 10 points.
Meanwhile, the boys got the season started on a winning note.

Zavier Alston and Dan Dyer each scored 17 points to lead the Moorestown High School boys basketball team to a 62-55 win over Nottingham in the season opener, according to nj.com.
Anthony Cruz had 12 points.
The Quakers held a 1-point lead after three quarters, but pulled away by outscoring Nottingham, 18-12, in the final session.
Darrell Johnson had a game-high 19 points for Nottingham.
