Moorestown Library Extends Rentals, Waives Fees During Outbreak

The library is also offering books, audiobooks and movies via Hoopla and Library apps.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — While the Moorestown Library remains closed to the public until further notice to help prevent the spread of new coronavirus, staff are working to continue to serve the community.

All library cards that are set to expire have been extended through June, Moorestown Library Director Joan Serpico said. All fines and fees incurred during the closure will be waived. The library is also offering books, audiobooks and movies via Hoopla and Library apps.

She said the library will also do the following things throughout the course of the closure:

  • Library staff will be monitoring the reference@moorestownlibrary.org and circulation@moorestownlibrary.org email addresses. Email a question, get help connecting to the library’s electronic resources, or retrieve your library card number.
  • Library staff in the Children's department will be monitoring jdunne@moorestownlibrary.org for questions about services and resources for children and teens. Email for help finding books from the library’s electronic resources to meet your child's needs (Lexile level, interests, school topics, etc.) or other questions.
  • The library will be adding new electronic resources.
  • The library will be adding a chat feature to their website to make it easier for patrons to contact them.
